Ok so I'm watching this past weeks episode of Private Practice (yea i had to tape it and im only getting to watch it now oops)

anyway they briefly talked about baby names

The patient on the show said she likes
Margaret (with the nn's Maggie or Meg)
Henry

And Addison said she likes
Carson
for either a boy or a girl.

don't feel bad- i just watched it last night! i can't catch it during the week, so i just watch it on weekends :)

i've heard & known Carsons on both sexes. while the girl Carson i knew was SO beautiful & the name really fit her... i personally like it better on a boy.

i like the patients taste too. and while i wouldnt personally use carson, i think its okay, and i can totally picture addison naming a little girl that.

I was soooo disappointed that Addison liked such a trendy name. I am at the same time glad she didn't say that she liked the name Aurelia or any other of my favorite names because it is a huge fear of mine that one of my favs will become super popular and we all know how Addison jumped in popularity around the same time Grey's became popular.

Addison has horrid taste in names, which makes me sad, because I love her.

I love Margaret and Henry:) Margaret is my #2 choice for a female middle name, and Henry is my #2 choice for a male first name.

I like Carson on girls! But only combined with a more feminine middle name. Or actually, combined with a more feminine first name ;)
I'm not too fond of Margaret. I think it's boring.

I don't actually like Margaret all that much, but I think Maggie and Meg are really cute as nicknames. So that's a tough call.

I'm into some of the foppish British names, but Henry is not one of them.

I don't like Carson on either sex, but I especially wouldn't like it on a girl. I seriously cannot stop associating that name with TRL.
