So recently I've been thinking about my own name, Diana, and I realize, I actually do really like it for its own merits. Like, if it wasn't already my name, I would totally consider using it for a daughter of my own.

However, I am one of those people who does not like to re-use names, or name children after people who are already carrying the name, especially not their direct parents. So that eliminates my own and whatever Daddy's name will be (I'm obviously neither pregnant nor trying to conceive... just planning ahead)

But I was thinking I could always use Diana as a middle name. The thing is, it sounds like it'd be a difficult name to pair with, especially if it's going to be the middle name.

So what I am taking 20 million years to ask is, what first names would do well with having Diana as a middle name?

My name is Kristin Dianne, so similar. :-) My middle name is after my dad's sister, who I am not especially close to, so I'm neither here nor there on it. I do think Diana with one "n" is the prettiest version of all of them.

I think for flow purposes, a two-syllable name would be best for a three-syllable middle name.

Maybe:
Audrey Diana
Lauren Diana
Alice Diana
Erin Diana
Caitlin Diana

It's hard to make too many real suggestions without knowing your general taste in names, but I say two syllables, and no "ah" endings. :-)

I do like Diana. It's my aunt's name and I think it's really feminine without being too girly. It sounds strong and regal, and makes me think of the goddess.

I think it would go well with most first names as long as they don't end with an A sound.

Diana is the name of one my friends :)
In Italy it's usually pronounced Dee-ana, but ever since Lady Diana's fame, many girls have been named Diana, pronounced like in english, Dy-ana, and that's the version my friend goes by.

I strongly dislike Dianna because it's a blend bewteen Diana and Anna, and I don't think it's all that smart. No offense to those who carry the name!

My former boss's name is Amy Diane (last name Harvey). I think it's really pretty, but I don't think Amy Diana would work.

Name suggestions:
Isabel Diana
Miriam Diana
Jennifer Diana
Rebecca Diana

p.s. I think you need to avoid names that end in -ee sounds

I'm rachel diana, and i hate my middle name. I always thought it sounded like an old lady and everyone seems to think that Diane is an acceptable form of Diana. but as much as i hate my name, i think it flows well. My mom is Diana Lisa, but she's the 8th kid of 12. Not too sure the grand parents were too concerned with names... just the tax write off.
