Oct. 23rd, 2005 12:13 pmHello everyone =) My name is Betsy, I'm just about 35 weeks pregnant with a girl and still haven't picked a name yet. I do, thankfully, have it down to two names:
Sienna Elizabeth
-or-
Nora Elizabeth
I favor Sienna just a little over Nora and of course my boyfriend likes Nora. My friends and family also seem to be split on which they like more. I *really* don't want her to have a popular name. I've checked the social security website and neither of them are high on the list for 2004 and beyond, but I just worry haha I've decided myself that I'll be making the final decision...which would be great if I could just decide!!
Which name do you all like best?

Date: 2005-10-23 10:51 am (UTC)But, i definetly prefer Sienna Elizabeth over Nora anyday, Nora feels very old fashioned to me, and not in a 'classic' way.. just old ladie style.

Date: 2005-10-23 02:02 pm (UTC)I don't agree that it's an "old lady" name. This only means it's not trendy.
It's a beautiful name that has history behind it, while Sienna is definitely trendy - and it will come and go. I think it will be one of those names that will be attached to one generation and fade away. You don't want that!

Date: 2005-10-23 02:16 pm (UTC)If I were in your position though, I would probably wait until she was born and look at her to see if she looks like more of a Sienna or a Nora. That could be the deciding factor and push you to the right name.
