How do you guys feel about the name Drea? (Dray-a)

Also, I heard the name Petelo (nn Telo) on the show Bringing Home Baby. I thought the nn was totally cute but I'm not so sure about Petelo. WDYT?

I agree with the above poster that Drea just looks like a nickname for Andrea. I don't like the name Andrea, and I prefer the DREE-uh pronunciation over the DRAY-uh one. But for some reason, the name Drea in itself (pronounced DRAY-uh) works for me.

I tried to look up Petelo, never having heard it before, and can find almost no information on it. One of the few name sites that listed it had it as a female name. I don't think I like it much, maybe because it reminds me of "petal," which sounds kinda girly.

I'd like it as a nickname (maybe for Andrea?) but it seems too...nicknamey to be a first name on its own.

I have a friend named Andrea (pn. ahn DRAY ah) who is sometimes called Drea. By itself it seems a little incomplete to me. Though I think I would be okay with Dre for a boy.

HATE the name Andrea. Personally because it is spelled the same as Andrea (Anne-dree-ah) but just pron. differently I thought it sounded kind of snotty and made up. But that's just me. :]

But I like Telo!
