How do you pronounce Alicia? I like the spelling, but I've heard people pronounce it differently, and I can't make up my mind if I like it, or not, until I find out how people pronounce it.
A-LISS-ee-ah
A-LEES-see-ah
A-LESH-sha
Some other way?
Also, which do you prefer:
Alicia
Alyssa
Alissa
EDIT: Thanks for the replies everyone! Although I was really hoping one of you would say you pronounced it A-LISS-ee-ah, as I'm sure I once met a girl called this, and I assumed that would be how you spelt it.
However, it was a while ago, and so I might be remembering wrong and her name might have been Alyssa/Alissa after all.
Which brings me on to - yes, I am aware that Alyssa/Alissa are different names pronunciation-wise to Alicia!

Date: 2007-10-14 10:16 pm (UTC)I prefer Alissa/Alyssa (though the first spelling is my favourite). There are fewer chances of saying this wrong (I have, however, heard both A-liss-a and A-lees-a if that makes sense).
