Which do you prefer - Sophia / Sophie?
Thoughts on this name?

It's not a huge favourite mine, just curious.
I think Sophie might be growing on me...but I don't like the nickname 'Soph'.

Sophia. I love both, but I think Sophia, with Sophie as a nickname, sounds much more sophisticated.

I'm not a huge fan of the name in general, but I'd use Sophie. I know a girl who is called Sophia - but she is always referred to as Sophie. Why she wasn't just called Sophie to begin with is beyond me.

I love love LOVE the name Sophia, and I would want to give my daughter that name if Timm would want to but he doesn't.

I work with a little girl whose name is Sophie Joy and I think that is genuinely the greatest way to go. Say it, it just bubbles off the tongue.

Sophie seems incomplete to me. Sofia I like (with the "f")

I prefer Sophia. I think I prefer Sofia, though. I have a thing for Spanish names.

I don't really like either, but I prefer Sophie. Or Sofia. For some reason, I usually like names spelt with an 'f' instead of a 'ph'. Sofia vs. Sophia, Eufemia vs. Euphemia, etc.

Sophie is one of my most favorite names! It's a bit of a pet peeve for me when people name their child Sophia but call her Sophie. Sophie is french, while Sophia is italian (I think, or spanish).

I know about a zillion people called Sophie, so I'm not really fond of it. I don't think it's ugly though, not at all.
They are both pretty names =).

I prefer Sophie but I like them both. I think they are both really nice, normal but not too boring names.

I work in a school (in England) and in 1 class we had a Sophie, Sofia and Sophya (pro. like Sophia). They all went by their full names and didnt use nicknames.
(And they're 6 now if that makes any difference)

My boyfriend and I both like the name Sophie but I have a hard time picturing a teenager named Sophie, it sounds too childish. So we were thinking of naming our daughter Sophia and calling her Sophie when shes little. Possibly. Its on our list of like 10 names lol
