Wdyt of the name Tea on a girl? Tea is prn. like 'TEE-ah'. This is the only spelling I like. It is a short form of Dorothea. It is Scandinavian/German.

Just like the actress Tea Leone. But I think she pronounces it Tay-ah.

Very pretty, I like it.

I like it, but everyone will think its pronounced tee. I can imagine lots of kids will make fun of her for it. I would spell it Tia, Tya, Teea or Teah.

By the way, how do you pronounce Dorothea? I see the name all the time, but I have no idea how to say it.

I like it pronounced Te-ah, and even spelled Teah, or Teia, but definitely don't like it spelled Tea, *everyone* will automatically think Tea like, the drink, and say Tea, like the drink, and she will be teased horribly and spend her life having to correct it. Very adorable name, when spelled differently.

I knew a Tia (Tee-ah) and I hated her.

I hate the name too.

It's Tea Leoni, and she has some accent thing about the E or whatever.

I like it said TAY-uh, and used as a nn for Mattea. But more as a casual name, not one that would actually be written down on paper often.

I don't care for the sound TEE-uh, and if I did, I'd spelled it Tia instead. Tea is just asking for difficulty imo.

I like Tea just pronounced the way it's spelt! If you spell Tia as Tea the kid will have to explain it to everyone. But I still like the name anyway.

I think that people will call her Tea- like sweet tea. :) I like Tia a lot better.

i've known two girls names Tea, one pronounced it Tee-a and one Tay-a. I defininitely wouldn't think it was Tee.
