I have an Italian friend named Beatrice, but I think (Italian speakers correct me if I'm wrong) that it's pronounced bay-uh-TREE-chay or -tsee-ay (or something to that effect--I'm having a hard time making it phoenetic). She goes by Bea pronounced BAY-uh, which I think is cute.
