What do you think of the name Loretta?

I used to think it was the prettiest name in the world, and then fell out of love with it because for some reason or another I decided it was weird...

I'm slowly starting to fall back in love with it, although I'd never use it for a child (of mine) because I used it as a character in a story, and I don't like over lapping my "potential baby name list" and "story character list"

i can't help but to think of loretta lynn, of course. it has a very "coal miner's daughter" vibe to me. but if i think of it with a clean slate, it's alright.

I like it but it sounds a little old. I think if that would go away if I met someone young with the name though.

my ex's mother is named Loretta. she goes by her full name, Ret, or Retta.

i could never use it as it reminds me of her, & not that i don't like her, but she's not a very pleasant person lol.

I like it but being from the south, i immediately think of Loretta Lynn (the country singer) but yeah...I like it.
