babynamesI had some classmates with some names that were unusual. For some, I don't know what their parents were thinking!
My first crush was a guy named Olin Blodgett. I also went to school with a John Lovely who was a short, fat kid with zits and mullet who liked to pick fights with people. Then there were sisters named Lenchen (a German form of Helen) and Kama. Then there were Hollis, Venus, Kami, Hollie-Beth, etc. University brought up some more interesting ones: Antigone, Christelle, Petal, Dagmar (Dasha), Manouschka, Kettiuska, Myntha, Silver, Darwin...
A girl I knew named her daughter Cedar.
