Date: 2007-08-25 10:59 am (UTC)& I don't like 'Belissa' at all!

Date: 2007-08-25 01:56 pm (UTC)Don't believe what they do with names on TV! This is a Russian name (from Greek roots) and in Russia it is a male name.
Students of east-west relations will think of the Russian leader Nikita Khrushchev who, as you can see, was not a pink dresses and blonde curls kind of dude (at least not in public ;))

Date: 2007-08-25 02:06 pm (UTC)The reason I ask is that some people, such as myself, might not stop to read the text in your post before they vote, and will thus vote down all the two-word combinations like "Autumn Winter." (Honestly, I don't mind Autumn and might have otherwise given it a thumbs up, but the combination is goofy.)
Your survey results may be a little misleading otherwise.

Date: 2007-08-25 03:52 pm (UTC)That's interesting! I must say it still sounds female to me though...maybe because it starts with Niki and ends with an a =)
(Plus, I once met a little girl called Nikita...guess what her parents' favourite show was! ;))

Date: 2007-08-26 01:17 pm (UTC)I think Autumn Winter sounds bad, too, but I'd never use the name because I only like the English pronounciation anyway.
