let me know what y'all think.
oh! and if you think one first name will go MUCH better with another middle name, or a middle name would suit better as a first name, or w/e, leave me a comment on here and tell me what the name YOU like would be. :-)
p.s. Bethel is the b/fs last name.
p.p.s, my mood has to do with my allergies... lol not that i can't take criticism. :D

Date: 2007-08-21 07:44 pm (UTC)Lyam Michael Bethel - I don't know if you're pronouncing Lyam as Lee-am, or Lie-am, but if it's the former, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE spell it Liam. Lyam looks so weird to me, and Liam is such a great name. I adore Liam Michael, but I don't like the spelling.
Nathanael Ryan Bethel - I love this. If your names are as-is, I think this might be my favorite.
Sean Andrew Bethel - Spoke too soon. This is another favorite.
Braeden Joel Bethel - I feel the same way about Braeden as I do about Cayden. If you really want to use the name, the spelling Braden is a lot less trendy. I love Joel, though, and Joel Braden sounds nice.
Joel Braeden Bethel - See above.
Phaedra Tamar Bethel - I know Tamar is a Hebrew name, but I've never heard Phaedra before, and I don't like it, especially considering the other girl names you have on your list that are absolutely gorgeous.
Abigail Raelin Bethel - LOVE. I don't like Raelin, but Abigail is great. What about Abigail Tamar? I think that sounds great together.
Lorelei Jael Bethel - I love Lorelai, but I hate Jael. It reminds me of Jail, which, um, obviously isn't a name I'd want to give a kid.
Hannah Roisin Bethel - I LOVE Hannah, but I don't like Roisin that much. Tamar sounds good as a middle name here, too.
Amira Roisin Bethel - Amira is okay, but I like Hannah, Abigail, Catherine, and Lorelai a lot more. Again, though, I think Amira Tamar flows better and sounds a lot nicer.
Melisande Sarai Bethel - I don't like either the first or middle names, but they could definitely be worse.
Priscilla Raelin Bethel - The name Priscilla always makes me think of "prissy", and I doubt that's the connotation you want people to have with your daughter's name.
Catherine Amara Bethel - I LOVE THIS NAME. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE. It's gorgeous. And I think Amara works great with Catherine.
I'd stay away from the Braeden/Cayden names, because they're so trendy, and I dislike the spelling of Liam, but otherwise your boy names are great. I love Asher, Nathanael, Sean, Andrew, and Michael, and I'd add Liam to that list if it wasn't spelled wrong.
For the girls, I'd go with either Catherine Amara or Hannah or Abigail with a different middle name. I really like Amara and Tamar as middle names.

Date: 2007-08-21 08:01 pm (UTC)lol. see, i KNOW the cayden/braeden names ar e'trendy' right now... annoying since i've had these names on my list paired with the other names for a loooong time (roughly since age 13/14 and i'm now 21 lol)
my thing with names is i want one name to be biblical in origin... and the other to be of heritage. since both my b/f and i are of irish decent *he's mostly irish, i'm 1/4*, and since i LOVE gaelic/traditional irish names, that's kinda why some are so "weird" to others.
i love the names Roisin (ro-sheen) & Raelin the most for gaelic girl names.
i'll look and try to find other biblical names to try and match up with them... lol.

Date: 2007-08-21 08:28 pm (UTC)Liam is actually one of my absolute favorite names ever, it's the spelling of Lyam that bothers me, because it doesn't even look like it's pronounced the same way; it looks like Lie-um, which ruins a wonderful name.

Date: 2007-08-21 08:40 pm (UTC)Lyam Michael Bethel -- Love Lyam, Michael not so much.
Nathanael Ryan Bethel (Nate/Nathan) -- Yep love it all around.
Braeden Joel Bethel -- Breaden is very nice.
Phaedra Tamar Bethel -- Love Phaedra, not a fan of Tamar.
Abigail Raelin Bethel -- Nice.
Lorelei Jael Bethel -- Love it!! Brilliant!
Hannah Roisin Bethel -- Really like it.
Priscilla Raelin Bethel -- Love Raelin as a first name, Don't like Priscilla.
Bethel is my mother's first name. I never really saw it as a last name.

Date: 2007-08-21 09:41 pm (UTC)i guess that's why i'm determined to see it spelled with a 'y' instead of an 'i' - to me i was introduced to this name by an irish friend of my dad's when i was 7 and i loved it. :) lol
many ppl have said they see it and think it's "Lie-am".... oh well, darn conformity!!!! ha ha ha
