Lillian Reece and call her Lilly?

i woke up with that in my mind today. Yesterday i was all about Lilly Claire. The day before that it was Lillian Jane.

What are your thoughts, ladies?

P.S. If this fixation on "Lilly" subsides, I might realize something new tomorrow...but considering my husband had cotton white hair until he was older and still has blonde hair...I feel like there is a good chance this baby will not get my olive skin or dark hair and eyes; and Lilly will be suitable.

Well...my daughter's name is Lily Calla. Yes, after the flower. I'm quite partial to Lilly Claire, as Claire is my sister's name! But Lilly Jane is also lovely. Honestly, I don't care for Reece, though. Sorry! :)

I like Lily with one L, a lot. My sister votes for Lilly Claire, but if I do Reece she votes for Lillian Reece. Phonetically, I guess it sounds better to her. I have not fell in love with anything just yet. I'm at 6 months now, but this naming stuff is driving me crazy.

I originally wanted to name my daughter Elliott or Georgia...but my husband wouldn't go for it. I like strong names on girls with cute nicknames. I'm from the South, so Georgia, Frieda, Lillian are pretty common around here with the older ladies. I definitely don't want trendy, snooty sounding. Maybe they really ARE nutty sounding, I DUNNO. I just don't want her to be in class with 5 other Claires, you know.

I grew up in the South so I totally know what you mean. I adore the name Georgia; too bad your hubby doesn't like it. I used to not like the name Lillian at all, but it's really grown on me. No matter how popular Lillian and Lily get, they're still classic names that will never go out of style. Good luck naming your little one! :)

P.S. I really like the name Elliott on a girl, although I know it's traditionally been a boy's name. Also, my sister is currently pregnant with her second daughter and the name they're planning on is Lilah. Just a thought. :)

I really like Lillian Reece. :) It seems to flow nicely and it conjures up soft, delicate images for me. You could always use Lily as her nickname.

Not related to the name, but my son from my first marriage inherited the olive skin, dark hair, and dark eyes of my husband. He didn't get my blonde hair and fair skin.

Darker hair and eyes tend to be dominant.

As for the name? I like Lillian Reece.

I don't like Reece. Not a real name. And Jane is just... too simple.
