(no subject)
Aug. 10th, 2007 06:04 pmI've actually never posted my names list before, so here it is
Two brief notes:
1) Spelling and gender are non-negotiable, they are on the list they are on spelled the way they are on the list for a reason, so while I do want to hear your thoughts, I don't really want to hear "I like this name, but spelled this way" or "this should be a boys names" because they are where they are and how they are for a reason
@) Popularity isn't an issue, at least not at the moment. It'll be over 10 years before I have kids, and I'm sure some things will have changed by then, so right now it's just names I'd like and probably use, and I'll deal with the trendy issue when it actually becomes an issue for me
feel free to offer suggestions, comments, and feel very free to suggest middle names (either from sets within the list, or with outside names)
Tally ho!
GIRLS
Victoria Maree (this is the one name I am 100% set on using)
Gwendolyn Julia (I still really like both these names, but I'm a little unsure if I still like them together)
Meredith
Sophia
Naomi
Regina
Norah (I like it more as a middle name)
Miranda
Sonaly (I saw this name on here, it's apparently Brasilian, and I think it's a beautiful name. I plan on adopting from Brasil someday, in which case this name would most likely be used)
I like the combination Meredith Sophia, but would really rather Sophia be a first name. It's not really an issue though
BOYS
Andrew
Kyle
John Titus (I'd call him Titus, everyone else could call him John. I dont want the little nipper being made fun of)
Ross (as a middle name only)
Vaughn
Bradley (I couldn't actually give a kid this name given my history with a Bradley, but I still like it)
Names I could go either way on
Ellis- Everyone says boys name, it's technically unisex, I like it better on girls, but my boy name list is so short...
Dannan- The name of the She-Duck on that PBS show Jakers! (come on... at least on of you out there has watched it). It's really started to grow on me, but I think I like it more for a boys name.
Name I'd give to my sons if they weren't guaranteed to cause torture and self loathing
Hippocampus Erectus
Schneevus
