[identity profile] ladydiddymus.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames

I posted my name list a while back when I first joined the group, but since I've been seriously considering my boyfriend's last name into the equation, there have been some changes. His last name is Kabulski... yep, very Polish. It obviously doesn't flow with just any name, especially just any girl name. I've pretty much decided not to worry about middle names until I'm actually ready to get pregnant, but I'm still open to suggestions! Anyway, here is a short list of some girls names that I like with his last name:
Mischa
Isabel
Sophie

I'm having a little more trouble with boys' names. I realize some of these match better than others, but my favorites are:
Toby
Leo
Eli

I also really like Bianca and Luca, but I can't decide if the hard "K" sounds clash too badly. At first it sounds like they do, but then sometimes when I say them out loud they don't sound so bad because the second syllable is stressed so heavily in "Kabulski."

So... What do you think of these? Other suggestions? Opinions about my "K" sound problem?
Thanks!

i dated a Czerwinski haha, i love some of the Polish last names, but i agree that sometimes the "K" sound can sound too harsh.

i love Mischa Kabulski... the other two don't flow as well, in my opinion. Bianca is nice, too.

Toby is nice... would it just be Toby, or Tobias?

I really like the sound of Sophie, or even Sophia. The other girl names sound great, too, but neither of them are really my style. I love Sophie, though.

Your boy names are AWESOME. I prefer Tobias with Toby as a nickname, but otherwise they're wonderful, and they sound great with Kabulski. My favorite is probably Leo, though. It just flows really well, and it's such an underused name.

I don't see a problem with Bianca or Luca. I think the double K sound flows really well; they don't clash at all. I LOVE the name Luca, but Bianca isn't really my style. However, I think it sounds great, and it's not a BAD name, either.

I don't think any "-ie" sounding name (like Sophie or Toby) really flows with the last name, because it sounds rhymey. Otherwise, I really like them! I don't think Luca or Bianca clash.

No, I think your initial instinct on the -ca names is right. You'd get "CaKa" in the middle of the name. Since caca means poop, this is really pretty bad.

Luca Kabulski especially (Lou Caca Bulski).
