oak tree?

Thoughts on the name Ayla (AY-lah) or it's variant Eila(h) (EYE-lah)?
They both mean oak tree, which means they're big contenders as either a first or middle name for me, as I have a strange obsession with trees. I think I prefer Ayla, but I'm not sure.

Anyways, thoughts on the names? Any ideas for either middle names for them or names with which they can be used as middle names? (My top girls names are Gianna [Gia], Isabelle [Izzy/ie], Audrey, Regina and Sophie).

Love to hear your ideas. :]

Cassia is basically my name (Kasia), but I think in a different language or perhaps different spelling. As they're both pronounced Ka-sha, I definitely wouldn't want my daughter to [a] have the same name as I do, unless it's cleverly disguised :] or [b] have to go through the same constant mispronunciation as I have my entire life.

I think I prefer Ayla over Elia (which would probably be more prone to being pronounced wrong anyways), but I do think it sounds pretty cute with Sophie.

Its such an adorable name- I'm so glad I stumbled upon it.
I'd love to use it as a first name but I honestly can't figure out a good middle name for it.

I sort of like the sound of Isabella Ayla, but I don't want to go overboard on the "uh" sound. :]
The more I think about this name, the more fond of it I become.

Isla is very, very pretty as well. I like it too, but the main reason I'm so attached to Ayla/Eila is because of their meaning. :]

I think it sounds nicer the other way around - Ayla Isabell(e/a).

Also, I think seen as you like Sophie, that Ayla Sophia would sound nice.

But Isla is just another for of Ayla. I have to say I've never come across Eila before but I asume it's the same. Isla is pronounced eye-luh. I know some people pronounced Ayla phonetically, but usually it's also eye-luh.

You like Regina? Well, how about Ayla Regine? It gets rid of the repeating "uh" sound, and I think it sounds elegant.
