Brodie - boy or girl?
I'm not overly fond of the name, but I know both boys and girls with it so I was wondering which sex you prefer it on.

If you must...boy.

Brodie - girl
Brody - boy

I like it best on a boy.

For a boy only spelled Brody. :)

I say Brodie = boy mostly because it's my cousin's name.

I don't know if it's considered more correct that way, but I think "IE" just looks girly. I've got a girl friend named Brodie and a boy cousin named Brody, so that's just how I associate them.

Well, to me, -ie names are girls, -y are boys. [shrug]

I don't like the name at all but I really hate it on a girl. I think is sounds cheap.

Brodie is a feminine-looking spelling, but the name itself makes me think boy (Brody).
I don't like the name, though.

I actually think it's more of a girl's name.

Brody and male.

It's an awful name, but it seems masculine to me.

I think it's a boy's name. If a person considering the name believes it's for either sex, then I agree with the Brodie = girl and Brody = boy, though.

I hate Brodie, it's so gross sounding. But I guess it's marginally less awful for a boy.

I also have a cousin named Brodie, and he's a male as well.

I like Brodie. I would say boy.

However it's spelled, I think it sounds completely masculine. I think it would be very incongruous on a girl or woman.

Boy, but only a white trash boy

(sorry, I'm jaded, but the only Brody I ever met was a boy who missed three years of high school because he was in juvie...)

Names that end in "ie" are not masculine to me. However Brody is definitely a boy's name. I'm not really a fan of it either.
