What do you think of the name Cassia (pn: Ka-sha)
I came across it a few days ago and added it to my list.
At first I thought it was pronounced Cas-see-ah) but after further investigation (and then help of miss_tee and museofmyself...thanks) it was determind to be typically prounounced as Ka-sha)
what do you think?

Date: 2007-07-17 10:15 pm (UTC)If it weren't that in the modern italian language "cassa" means "cash" (as in machine), I'd say I like how it sounds.
I've always known that Kasia is read "ka-sha", and is a derived form of Katherine in the Eastern European languages
I know I was the bubble burster but...

Date: 2007-07-18 12:07 am (UTC)Not to get all weird on you all, but when I see the name Cassia it makes me think of white flowers and green clovers. Despite the "Cash" sound, I don't think of money at all.
I hope this made sense and I didn't come off sounding *too* weird. ;)
