Today at work I heard the name (and I'm not sure of the spelling) Tatie on a little girl (it was pronunced like Katie, but with a T)
Now, I'm not all that fond of it, but I could see it being used as a nickname for Tatiana or something, but as a name by itself? Yuck!

Hmm. I wonder if it was a nickname for Tatum?

I agree, though. Either way, it's not incredibly attractive.

I like Tate....but Tatie? If it were a nickname for Tatiana I would think it wouldn't be pronounced like Katie.

Was it Tay-tee or Tat-ee?

I don't mind Tat-ee, but Tay-tee sounds weird.

I have a cat named Tatie... it's not exactly a name i would pin on a person.
I named it Tatum but thats more of a people name than a cat name, even though I named him because he looked like someone i knew with the same name

Tatie is too hard to say in my opinion. I'm not a fan at all.

It might just be a childhood mispronounciation turned pet name by the parents. My SIL is named Tracy and still gets called Taytie by her relatives occasionally because that's how she said it when she was small.

To me it sounds like baby talk for Potato. "come on wickle bubsy, eat your taties!"
