Ok i always spelt Matilda like that.. the roald dahl way.
But in this community someone said it was spelt Mathilda.

Does anyone know what way it is spelt?
And what do you think of Matilda/Mathilda Claire Hutchison?

Your link doesn't work (and it's Dahl). But Matilda can be spelled both ways. Queen Matilda without an H was Queen of England in the 12th century (although she was known as Maud a lot of the time). Queen Mathilda with an H was William the Conqueror's wife (also known as Mathilde). Both work in English, although the H is probably more common in other languages.

I don't care for the name. I've seen it both ways, and personally prefer "Mathilda."

I hate Mathilda.

Matilda looks much nicer.

Yeah, both are correct. There are other names with H versions, but the only other one coming to mind right now is Talia/Thalia.

I don't care for the H versions. I want to say them with a "th" sound, hear them that way in my head, and it sounds like someone pronouncing Matilda or Talia with a lisp.

Matilda Claire Hutchison - Not bad!

I think the H spelling is like a medieval thing.

I like it the best the French way, Mathilde, which is still pronounced the same. Matilda Clair Hutchinson sounds great, but I prefer Mathilda.
