Yesterday I met two amazingly cute little girls (around 4 years, I think). They were identical twins.

Their names, you ask?

Melinda and Melissa.

Poor kiddo's.

I hate matching names on any family members, but especially twins because they're already close enough in everything else they clearly need something to distinguish them.

The fact that the names are so close together does kinda suck, but I'm a Melinda and there's a whole bunch of nicknames that can be used.

I'm not fond of either name...although I do like how they start with the same letters for twins.

I like it when twins names are like that ex. Michelle and Matthew (not my fav names just an example lol)

Melissa is a cute name, but I think Melinda is horrid and dated. Especially when put together. Poor kids.

I dunno. It's fairly horrible, but it's certainly not the worst thing I've seen on this community. They're both actual names, and reasonable unsual. At least they weren't called 4real and Satan.

But yeah, I'm also baffled as to why.

My first thought too! The mom called them Melly and Lissa, though, so it might work out, but still.. way too similar for my taste.
