[identity profile] screaming--pink.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
Because the babies are napping and I'm putting off housework:

My SO and I were discussing names for our next child[ren] recently. Our son's name is Lucas James - middle name after my father. He wants to give our next baby the middle name of Aaron/Erin after his younger brother who passed away last October. I love the idea of honoring his little brother but am having a hard time thinking of names I like that don't rhyme with Aaron/Erin and sound good with a two syllable surname starting with V and ending with an ER.

Right now we have these as potential BOY names:

Christopher Aaron.
Bradley Aaron. <-- his suggestion, I don't like Bradley.
Levi Aaron.
Zachary Aaron.
Drake Aaron.

I had my heart set on the name Adelaide Juliet with this pregnancy, but I ended up with a boy. I wanted to use it for a girl one day but with the new suggestion of Erin as a middle name, it isn't possible [unless I end up with a set of fraternal boy/girl twins, which is a very REAL chance] and I don't think either name really sounds that great with Erin.

Adelaide Erin.
Juliet Erin.

The other girl name I had picked out is Adrienne Lacey. Again, neither of them sounds awesome with Erin, although they aren't horrible combinations. I do not really like Lacey as a first name, though. It's a bit frilly and froo-froo for my tastes.

Adrienne Erin.
Lacey Erin.

I don't like "trendy" names like Aiden/Jayden/Blahblayden. And prefferably nothing on the top 10 in the US right now. We aren't planning on our next child for at least 3 years, but I'm pretty sure the top names won't change all that much..

Any suggestions for boys or girls? Remember, our son's name is Lucas James.
