I like your boy names (not the girl names, though), but I am definitely not a fan of the spellings. Your kids are going to have to correct them constantly, and truthfully, the "unique" spellings just kind of look...dumb. I'm not saying that you are, it's just that they look made up. Which...they are. But really, it's the same popular name, it's just spelled differently, which makes the kid's life even more difficult. So instead of being Liam M they're Liam-with-a-Y, which might actually be worse.

Lyam doesn't even look like it's pronounce the same as Liam. Instead of being Lee-am, everyone is going to end up pronouncing it Ly-am. And it doesn't matter how many times he corrects them...EVERYONE will call him that once he's been called it once.

lol ok, so general consensus is that "liam" is MUCH prefrred over "lyam".... the reason i use the 'y' version is b/c when i was much younger and looking at Irish boy names, THAT'S how it was spelled. 'liam' was said to be the UK/English variation. which is not part of my heritage, so i just disregarded it. :-) but i have food for thought now, seeing as how everyone who saw it pronounced it lie-am. lol

and as far as Nathaniel vs. Nathanael = i refuse the spell change b/c Nathanael was the name of Jesus' disciple. NOT 'nathaniel' w/ an 'i'. so that one i keep as is. lol :)

what other spellings didn't you think looked made up?

yeah i have SUCH issues w/ girl names! i have a list, but i just can't decide what goes good with what. :-\ SO frustrating!

good name. :) the spanish equivalent is Javier. but either spelling can be pronounced that way. my 'lita just chose the 'x' spelling :)
