Most of those seem like nicknames to me. I like them, but I'd use Samuel or Maxwell, for instance. Going strictly by the names you have listed, I like Jospeph the best.

I'm a fan of, well, all of those names except Andy. That's a really good list. Gotta give a shout out to Joseph, though, as it's a family name for me. Plus Wesley makes me think of Princess Bride ;D

Joseph is very common in my family, to the point that we have to get creative with the nicknames. Grampa Joseph William III was Joe, My uncle Joseph William IV got Bill, while my cousin Joseph William V became Josh. Another cousin named his son Joseph Mackenzie and they call him Jack. Cousin Cheryl's seventh kid was Joseph, and they call him his middle name, Matthew. It's ridiculous.

Wesley has always sounded weasley to me, but a lot of other people really like it. And Max makes me think of dogs because its such a popular dog name. I really like the others, though, especially Charlie and Sam. I like the spelling Charley better for a boy, but I don't really have any basis for that.

I'm another "they kinda sound like nicknames" person. I'd use the full, traditional name in a legal sense, and then the shorter as a nickname. Charles and Samuel are my favorites, especially when in practice called "Charlie" and "Sam".

I think I like Wesley (would you call him Wes? I LOVE that name), Max, Charlie, and Sam the best. Sam is #1 on my list and Max, Charlie, and Wes have all had places on mine before.

Yes, I would call him Wes. I like short simple names, and actually prefer them over long versions. Like Sam instead of Samuel for instance.
