Just too much?
May. 31st, 2007 09:12 pmMy top boy name and a newly found love of a boy's name seem just "too much" with our last name. Our last name is number 2 in the nation. Johnson. My trouble is my top boys names are Jackson (Jack) and Finnian (Finn). Jackson Johnson. That's terrible... or is it? I'm torn. I've loved the name Jackson since I watched Steel Magnolias for the first time at the age of 5. His name would be Jackson Allen Johnson. It's too much isn't it. It breaks my heart. Finnian is the same way. It's sounds fine as Finn but not as Finnian. WDYT?

Maybe just not Finnian Allen Johnson, now that would get complicated.

Date: 2007-06-01 06:13 am (UTC)I think people would find that name funny.
I don't know why you said that Finnian is the same way though, there is no parallel that I can see. It is fine with Johnson as a last name.
I have never heard the name Finnian by the way.. was it meant to be Finnigan? Just wondering.. I think I like Finnian better than Finnigan (mostly because Finnigan reminds me of Michael Finnigan with whiskers on his chinnigan)

Date: 2007-06-02 01:05 pm (UTC)Finnian is okay with Johnson, and Finn is absolutely great, in my opinion.
