Although popular, I think it's really cute :) I have a neice named Kyleigh & a friend's daughter named Kayleigh. I also know a friend that named her son Kleighton (Clayton)- I feel bad for that boy growing up LOL
Nah I'm pretty set with this one.. so far everyone I know likes it.. I thought of Stephanie too (after her father Stephen). He's just getting started with looking at names.. but he really likes Kayleigh too..
i really wanted a feminie name to go with my middle name and liked how Kayleigh sounded and really love this spelling. It's hard finding a name that goes with Alyson os a middle name!!
I think that's so cute, and i don't really get what people don't like it. I love the spelling of the first name. And it's very cute. That gives me great ideas!
the "y" in it is very cute. i think that's a great idea that you're using your middle name as her middle name as well. what a great mother-daughter connection. cute idea!
I liked the spelling because the dangley letters make it look really good written.. and I think it looks really feminine which is something I really want.
hehe that's funny.. I looked at all the rankings on the ssn site and just looked at the spelling closest to the top.. and since it was 50 I'm not too concerned.. it's such a cute name. My thinking was that as long as it wasnt top 10 it was all good :-D
i like the fact you are giving her your middle name. i am doing the same thing. i am also having a baby girl naming her savannah rene' congrats on your baby girl. if you like the name than you should keep it. i have changed my baby's name so many times just because others said it was too common or other things. but my opinion is it sounds strange together. like it doesn't go together. but no one would be calling her by her first and middle name anyways. so if you like it you go with it :) congrats. Honestly, I can't imagine someone older than the age of three with the name Kayleigh. Not only that, it is severely overused. She's going to be the victim of having at least five other people turning around when her name is called (it gets really annoying after the first three-ish times, this is coming from a Jessica).
I really don't like the whole Kayleigh name. But, I like the name combination. I think that is what got me. It'd be weird if it were spelled any other way ... and it'd be kind of cute if the last name had a Y, but that's beyond your control.
Well this name is my first choice the baby's father is just starting to look at names.. so if he comes up with something better then we'll see. So far everyone in my family and his likes it. I just like to hear other peoples oppinions but don't necessarily intend on following them.
With the spelling of the name I chose she can also go by Kay or Leigh or even by her middle name if she doesn't like it. I live in Maine right now and don't know anyone with the name or anyone who knows someone with the name. My name is somewhat in the middle of popularity too (Wendy) and I didn't know a single other person with my name till college. I looked at the statistics on the ssn site and checked all different spellings and the highest I found was at 50. I know there's a chance there will be others but I really like the name.
It looks great written on paper.. and sounds good to me. It's been really hard finding a name to go with my middle name. I agree that I wouldn't like it with a different middle name:-)
because having Alyson as the middle name is a family tradition... me my mom and my grandmother all have the same middle name.. and so will my daughter... I dislike the name Kathryn because I wouldn't want her called Kathy or Katie..
Kayleigh is really cute, but as a person with a common name aswell, I know what its like to be the 8th Amanda someone knows. But if thats what you're set on I think its very pretty. :) Alyson goes very well with it.
