...is a boy.  Frank is a family name and every first born son is named "Frank".

Her list:
Frank Connor
Frank Brennen
Frank Austin
Frank Remington
Frank Rohen
Frank Declan
Frank Josiah
Frank Levi
Frank Bryson
Frank Parker

His list:
Frank Espen

I prefer Frank Austin, Frank Rohen (since she got the spelling and name from me and my last pregnancy), and Frank Espen (as utterly ashamed as I am to admit that.  Despite the connatation, Espen is a cute name within itself).

I'm confused. Do they call the kid by his middle name to avoid confusion? Or are there just 686869696 Franks?

If they go by their middle name, I like:
Frank Levi
Frank Austin
Frank Brennen
Frank Declan

If they go by Frank I think any of the middle names work.

Frank is one of my least favorite names, but of that list Frank Connor, Brennen, and Austin sound the best.

Frank Austin

But seriously... Frank?

I'm glad my family doesn't have that tradition. Although, the name would probably be William, so at least it's not too bad.

Frank Espen sounds Norwegian.

My grandfather's Frank and my cousin is Levi. ^^

I like Frank Austin.

Put together in a list, the names Remington, Brennen, Austin & Parker when all grouped together reminded me of TV crime/detection TV shows! - Police Squad (Frank Drebben?), Remington Steele (Piers Brosnan), Austin Powers & (Peter Parker) Spiderman. I associate Levi & Bryson with writers & Josiah with Wedgewood.

If using a middle name that sounds like a surname make sure that there is that there isn't a celebrity or fictional character with that middle name as their surname.

I'd personally rule out the ones that sound too much like surnames rather than legit christian names. I quite like Josiah, for a fictional character maybe - but I'm not sure a kid would appreciate having to live with it. Connor sounds the most cool, tease-proof and 'in' of them all. There was a Connor on 'Anagel', and that's fine because his generation won't know or care about 'Angel'.

My FSIL's fiance's family has a similar custom, except the second name has to start with 'R'; they go by their middle names. They said they like Frank Ronald.. eek. Her fiance is Frank Reeve and his father is Frank Randall.

I like:
Frank Brennen
Frank Declan
and.. that's it.
