Are there any names in the top 25 that you adore?
Names that you wish you could name your kids, but wont because of the popularity?

Noah, Tyler & Logan - boys

Ava & Isabella - girls

I don't really care about the overall popularity that much. I'd rather not name my kids something in the top 25, but if I love it, I'm going to anyway.

Jacob is my #3 name for a boy, I would be using Michael as a first name (probably my #2 spot) if my brother wasn't named that already. As it is, I plan on using it as a MN with Samuel for my top boy's name. And both my top 2 names -- Sam and Ben -- are just inside the top 25 list at #24 and #25.

For girls, I love Emily (although I probably won't use it) and Olivia is also on my list. I would consider using either of them, despite their popularity.

and by "Would use" I mean I would use despite popularity. The others I like but would not use because they are so popular.

Regardless of popularity, I'm not that crazy about the majority of the top 25 names, and besides, if I really loved a name I wouldn't automatically throw it away because it got popular. As it stands, I like the boy names I listed enough to use as middle names but not first names, and the only girl name I'd really consider using is Ava, maaaybe Taylor.

Also, I really like the name Sam, but I'm not as crazy about the longer versions Samuel and Samantha (both of which are in the top 25).

I like Olivia, Hannah and Lauren, but not enough to use them regardless of popularity. I'm only really fond of Matthew from the boys list.

and Michael, but the top 25 problem isn't going to put me off that name.
(It's also my boyfriends name)

I've always loved the somewhat more classical names, so a lot of my favorites are popping up at the top of the list. Emma and Emily are two of my favorites, as are Jacob, Olivia, and Isabel (not exactly the same as Isabella, but close enough). If I were to have a daughter, I wouldn't be too worried about the popularity, I'd still want to call her Emily Jane, and I'd probably still name a son Jacob, or Benjamin Jacob.

I like a lot of the names in the top 25, but the only one that is on my list of 5 for each gender is Samuel, which I would still use definitely.

Usually I don't care too much about popularity, but if they're SUPER popular, I just couldn't name my kid that. For example, Michael used to be my favourite boy's name, but I just know he'd be the eigth Michael in his class, at work, at the retirement home... wherever he went in life.

Noah

I guess I'm not a big fan of the top 25, either sex. but both of those are names I would have used if they weren't so popular... but won't now.
