What do yall think of the name Jocelyn?

I like it..but Im not sure if I like it enough to name my future daughter that. If anyone has that name can I also know the middle name too.

I love that name! It's one of my top names for a girl but the fiance hates it. I would have used Marie with it because it's my mothers middle name and I want to carry that on.

There's a girl in the middle school class I TA for named Jocelyn, and I always thought it was a really pretty name. Don't know about the middle name though. Jocelyn Marie and Jocelyn Elisabeth both sound really nice.

I've always really liked that name. I like it with short, feminine middle names - Belle, Faye, Claire, May, etc.

I agree. I could use my middle name which is Kaye. That sounds nice together. Or is that weird to do..I mean its my great grandmas middle name, my aunts first name and my middle name..so I guess its ok.

Jocelyn is nice. I know someone who had a baby girl a few years ago and named her Jocelyn Arcadia (after the national park in Maine). I thought it was a very pretty, striking, and original name.

Hi! Pardon the delay, but I'm a real-life Jocelyn. It peeves me that my birth certificate says "Ma (Hispanic contraction of "Maria") Jocelyn" which kinda mixes Spanish with something that's a bit more French-sounding, WTF. >_>0 Not to mention that the nickname everyone offline knows me by - "Joy" - could be a lesser-known derivative of "Jocelyn", and both "Joy" and "Jocelyn" are acknowledged here in the Philippines where everyone pretty much does away with the "Ma" bit, while in other countries like the USA people call me "Maria" which I don't exactly like. (Hope I didn't lose you back there. XD;)

I'd say "Jocelyn Marie" would be beautiful; I'd love adding "Anne" to "Jocelyn" but Anne is overused IMHO.

Here are my other suggestions:

1) Jocelyn Sophie
2) Jocelyn Grace / Grace Jocelyn
3) Clare Jocelyn

On the other hand, simply "Jocelyn" is beautiful in itself - it is elegant by itself, and besides, attaching another name to it proved to be quite a mouthful when I had to introduce myself in my younger years. XD
