Hello!

I came across the community in the community spotlight, and thought that I would drop in and make a post :) I am 23 and a writer so I am constantly putting names aside that I like for either use in a story or for future children. Right now my only child is my cat, named River. I don't have my (lengthy!) list in front of me, but I do know a handful off the top of my head:

Girls: Mersea, Alexandria, Ariana, Rose, Martha, Penelope, Lorelai, Aurora

Boys: Taylor, Eric Ryan(after my late brother and my boyfriend, to be the name of my first boy), Xander, Chase, Manfred, Sanford

And I know that there are more that I absolutely love, but I can't remember them at all at the moment. :)

Is Mersea pronounced like Mercy? My name's Mercy, but I think Mersea is a cooler spelling! I really like Penelope.

It is pronounced the same, but it came from a story that I wrote as a young child, about a unicorn that was related to a mermaid - so a mermaid from the sea, LOL. Not the same meaning :)

I absolutely adore the name Lorelai. I'm from the same area as the original Lorelai from the German legend. =P
